1. Who we are
KarJo (کارجو) is a job aggregation platform for Afghanistan, available at karjo.vercel.app, as an Android app, and through Telegram. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
2. Information we collect
Account information: when you sign up, we store your name, email address, and profile details you choose to add (phone, province, headline, skills, Telegram username). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. Usage data: jobs you save or mark as applied. Notifications: if you enable push notifications in the app, we store a device token to deliver them. Contact messages: if you use our contact form, we store your name, email, and message.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to provide KarJo's features: your account and profile, saving and tracking jobs, sending job alert notifications you've opted into, and responding to your messages. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
4. Job listings
Job listings on KarJo are collected automatically from public sources including jobs.af, ACBAR, and LinkedIn. KarJo does not own these listings. When you apply for a job, you are redirected to the original source — any information you submit there is governed by that website's own privacy policy.
5. Third-party services
KarJo relies on trusted service providers to operate: Supabase (database and authentication), Google (optional sign-in), Firebase (push notifications), Vercel (hosting), and Telegram (job alerts). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.
6. Data retention and deletion
Your account data is kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us — we will remove it within a reasonable period.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Children
KarJo is intended for users of working age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
